COVID-19 Won't Affect Food Production In Nigeria: RIFAN

By T.H Mayo COVID-19 pandemic came with a lot of challenges the world over, and it is believed that Africa will bear the consequences, among the challenges anticipated is economic and food production. Habu DanWaire The world is now worried on coronavirus pandemic, everywhere COVID-19 has dominated airwaves number of infected person or death is what is making headlines in the media   The world is full of activities, even though there are lockdowns and shutdowns to curtail the spread of the virus the world over. As of the time of filling in this report, there are over 853,200 cases with over 41,887 deaths in more than 150 countries of the world. That will affect the global economy. Nigeria is one country that is diversifying its economy, with much emphasis on agriculture. With a lot of commitments and policies the country has promoted agricultural activities and hails its achievements. Of recent World Bank has released a report on global agricultural performances, Nigeria was ranked 7th in Africa, that too many the country has a lot of catch up to make.
